Your Responsibilities:

Planning, design and implementation of water-, foam- and gas-based fire protection systems
-
Technical review and evaluation of customer requirements, specifications and contractual documentation

Preparation of technical specifications, tender documents and requests for quotation
-
Coordination and optimization of interfaces with other disciplines, departments and customer facilities
-
Review and approval of engineering, manufacturing and quality documentation provided by external contractors
-
Participation in design reviews and development of technically and commercially viable solutions
-
Coordination of the preparation and provision of customer and project documentation
-
Management and coordination of external contractors and suppliers in accordance with project and site requirements
-
Monitoring of schedules, costs, quality and engineering efforts within the assigned area of responsibility

Support in negotiations as well as change order and claim management
-
Participation in the selection, development and qualification of suppliers
-
Analysis and resolution of technical issues as well as support with troubleshooting
-
Collaboration with interdisciplinary and international project teams
What You Bring:
-
University degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification at Bachelor's level or higher
-
At least one year of relevant professional experience in plant engineering, power generation or a comparable technical environment
-
Hands-on experience in the design and implementation of fire protection systems, particularly water-, foam- or gas-based extinguishing systems
-
Good knowledge of fire protection systems, at least at an intermediate level
-
Knowledge of relevant national and international fire protection standards and guidelines, such as NFPA, VdS or FM Global, is an advantage

Knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems is desirable

Good understanding of technical systems, mechanical components and interdisciplinary interfaces

Ability to take responsibility for technical components and work packages and to develop solutions with regard to quality, cost and schedule

Experience in coordinating external contractors and suppliers as well as reviewing technical documentation

Strong communication and coordination skills in interdisciplinary and international project teamsIndependent, structured and solution-oriented way of working combined with good commercial awareness

Intercultural competence and willingness to collaborate in international and virtual teams
-
Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel

Business-fluent English and good German skills
