DMU and Geometric Validation Engineer

What to Expect

  • Perform geometric validation of the virtual vehicle and evaluate design compliance throughout the entire product development process.
  • Analyze and verify installation space requirements and identify potential collision issues within the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) environment.
  • Develop, coordinate, and track corrective actions and technical solutions for identified problem areas and package conflicts.
  • Organize, coordinate, and moderate technical meetings, workshops, and cross-functional alignment discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Support engineering teams in the resolution of complex integration and packaging challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, presentations, and performance statistics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to virtual validation and product development processes.
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure product quality and feasibility.

What You Bring Along

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Experience with Digital Mock-Up (DMU), virtual validation, vehicle packaging, or geometric integration activities.
  • Good understanding of product development processes within the automotive industry.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
  • Experience in coordinating technical discussions and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and moderation skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of CAD and DMU tools (e.g., CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, 3D Experience, or similar) is considered an advantage.
  • Good English skills; German language skills are an advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive vehicle integration, packaging, or digital validation projects.
  • Experience working in an international engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of reporting, KPI tracking, and technical documentation standards.
