What to expect:
For the allocated suppliers from the group, you will be in charge with:
- Oversee a portfolio of components and services
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
- Conduct research for new suppliers
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
- Keep attention to detail and accuracy.
What you bring along:
- Ideally Bachelor/Master’s degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong technical background or understanding
- 3+ years of purchasing experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams
- Proficiency in SAP MM (Material Management)
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Proficient negotiation skills
- Advanced/Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Problem-solving with a hands-on approach
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Capacity to listen and communicate solutions at all levels.
