What to expect:
- Develop engineering concepts for mechanical components and assemblies within conventional and electrified powertrain systems
- Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings using CATIA V5
- Ensure manufacturability, geometric integration, serviceability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Coordinate with packaging, simulation, manufacturing, supplier, and project teams
- Perform design studies and evaluate alternative concepts
- Support design reviews and technical discussions with customers and stakeholders
- Manage changes and continuously improve component designs during development phases
The position may involve the design and integration of:
- Exhaust systems and exhaust components
- Air intake systems and ducting
- Cast housings for electric machines
- Cast housings for power electronics units
- Drive shafts and powertrain components
- Plastic covers and protective components
- Brackets, mounting systems, and structural parts
- E-mobility and high-voltage related mechanical components
What you bring along:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive mechanical design
- Proven experience in the independent development of at least one complex automotive component or assembly
- Experience throughout the complete product development cycle from concept design to production release
Technical Skills :
- Excellent CATIA V5 knowledge
- Advanced CATIA V5 Shape Design expertise (essential requirement)
- Part Design
- Assembly Design
- Drafting and GD&T
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Geometric Integration and Packaging
- Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or similar PDM systems
- FMEA knowledge
- Tolerance analysis
- Automotive development processes
- Experience with electric drive units, e-motors, or power electronics packaging
