We are looking for an experienced Senior Body-in-White Development Engineer to support the development of premium vehicle body structures from concept phase through series production.
The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in BIW design and component development with hands-on experience in vehicle architecture, packaging studies, feasibility assessments, and supplier coordination within automotive OEM environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design Body-in-White structures and components throughout the complete product development cycle, from concept development to production release.
- Take technical ownership of vehicle body components and assemblies, managing their development, validation, release and continuous improvement.
- Create and modify CAD models, technical drawings and engineering documentation using CATIA V5.
- Perform packaging studies, feasibility assessments and integration activities within vehicle architecture.
- Develop engineering solutions considering crash performance, manufacturability, joining technologies, assembly requirements, weight targets and cost objectives.
- Define and optimize body structure concepts, joining systems and manufacturing solutions.
- Coordinate suppliers and collaborate with manufacturing, simulation, testing, quality and project teams.
- Support prototype builds, validation activities and industrialization phases.
- Analyze technical issues and implement robust engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with OEM development processes, engineering standards and release procedures.
Your Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Body-in-White development within the automotive industry.
- Proven experience in the development of structural vehicle components such as:
- Front-end structures
- Rear-end structures
- Underbody systems
- Crash structures
- Pillars, frames and reinforcements
- Experience managing components or subsystems with direct engineering responsibility.
- Strong understanding of vehicle architecture, packaging and feasibility processes.
- Experience working within premium automotive OEM or Tier 1 environments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, crash requirements and design-for-production principles.

Yearly gross salary: 40.000€ - 50.000€
