About the Role
We are looking for a Body & Comfort ECU Development Engineer to support the development, integration and validation of electronic systems within premium automotive projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Body Electronics and Comfort functions, working closely with Architecture, Validation, Software, Testing and Homologation teams to ensure seamless vehicle integration and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and integration of Body Control Modules (BCM) and related ECUs
- Define, analyze and manage system requirements for:
- Vehicle Access Systems
- Lighting Systems
- Climate Control Systems
- Steering Wheel Functions
- Mirrors
- Roof Systems
- Other Body & Comfort feature
- Coordinate with System Architecture, Integration and Validation teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support system design reviews, feasibility studies and benchmark analyses.
- Manage diagnostics strategies and vehicle communication networks including:
- CAN
- LIN
- Ethernet
- Support software integration, verification and issue resolution activities.
- Participate in prototype build phases, road testing activities and vehicle validation campaigns.
- Support homologation activities and ensure compliance with automotive regulations and standards.
- Track technical issues, risks and project milestones through Jira, Confluence and related engineering tools.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project delivery targets.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience in Automotive Electronics, ECU Development, System Engineering, Vehicle Integration or Body & Comfort systems.
- Knowledge of automotive vehicle architecture and E/E systems.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols:
- CAN
- LIN
- Ethernet
- Familiarity with diagnostics concepts and troubleshooting activities.
- Experience with engineering tools such as:
- Jira
- Confluence
- CANoe
- CANalyzer
- Vector tools (preferred)
- Understanding of automotive validation and testing processes.
- Familiarity with homologation and regulatory compliance processes.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Fluent English and Italian.
