1. Intake silencer (airbox) – Secondary air system – Crankcase ventilation
a. Develop a concept in close coordination with the BMW contact person
b. Developing a production-ready design for series production and coordinating with series production suppliers
c. Creating a “Build to Print” drawing for series production
d. Understanding the operating principle
e. Creating drawings in accordance with the relevant BMW standards and tables (component performance values)
2. Cooling
a. Concept development
b. Create a “Build to Print” component for series production in coordination with the supplier
c. Create drawings in accordance with the relevant BMW standards and tables (component performance values)
3. Shed System (Fuel Tank Venting)
a. Route planning for “Build to Print” components—creation through close collaboration during the installation space meeting
b. Bracket design for “Build to Print” components, followed by coordination with series production suppliers
c. Component adaptations (AKF/TEV) for “Build to Print” production
4. Throttle Valve
a. Creation of a concept model
b. As the project progresses toward series production—coordination and installation space verification of supplier data
c. Creation of drawings in accordance with the respective BMW standards and tables (component functional values)
5. Underbody Protection
a. Concept development and coordination with the design department
b. Complete production development through to production readiness—Build-to-Print
6. Intake Manifold
a. Concept development and creation of a Build-to-Print component for production in coordination with suppliers
7. Fuel System
a. Concept development
b. Production part in coordination with production suppliers—installation space verification and coordination
8. Hot engine peripherals
What you bring to the table:
a. Proficiency in Prisma, Catia, and Workplace; experience with approval processes (iRAM, Cobra, gAMS) is a plus
b. Concept development in coordination with the BMW department
c. Design work with expertise in surface design and sheet metal design
d. Preparation of ECE documents for ZX-EA-8
e. Installation space analyses using the CAD data provided by manufacturers and the required minimum clearances
f. Knowledge of handling and maintaining data in Catia based on manufacturer data
g. Build-to-print designs and coordination
h. Good written and spoken English skills
