Design Engineer in the Spring-Damper Division:

Ability to understand and analyze components from respective suppliers from both functional and mechanical perspectives
Review and understand drawings in accordance with relevant BMW standards and tables (damper characteristic curves, force-displacement diagrams, etc.)
Create documentation of changes in PowerPoint
Design and engineer splash guards, MPU mounts, and steering wheel mounts
Request test parts from the RP Center and test them on-site on the vehicle
Maintain package data; create installation space models for suppliers
Coordinate with suppliers as part of the approval process
Wheel Design:
Wheel design according to ETRTO
Close coordination with BMW
Coordination with Design
In-depth knowledge of Catia V5 surface modeling
Review and understand drawings in accordance with the relevant BMW standards and tables (shock absorber characteristic curves, force-displacement diagrams, etc.).
Request test parts from the RP Center and test them on-site on the vehicle
Maintain packages; create installation space models for suppliers
Coordinate with suppliers as part of the approval process
Tire Design:
No design work required; exclusively bridgehead activities
Occasional package maintenance as needed
Brake Line Design:
Close coordination with BMW
In-depth knowledge of Catia V5 for IPS line routing
Development of simple sheet metal brackets and plastic parts
Create kinematic models and verify them within the installation space
Review and understand drawings in accordance with relevant BMW standards and tables (damper characteristic curves, force-displacement diagrams, etc.).
Request test parts from the RP Center and test them on-site on the vehicle
Maintain package documentation; create installation space models for suppliers
Coordinate with suppliers as part of the approval process
Design of brake components (brake caliper, brake rotor, parking brake assembly, and master cylinder (foot brake)) as well as clutch actuation (clutch lever assembly and slave cylinder):
Production-ready design and drawing creation (in Catia V5) of
plastic injection-molded parts

Review supplier data (2D/3D) and coordinate with suppliers
