Purpose
The Geometric Technician is responsible for ensuring geometric convergence and meeting quality objectives within their assigned scope/perimeter, in compliance with project timelines.

Main Responsibilities
- Defining the locating scheme (isostatic positioning) of components within the sub-assembly
- Performing tolerance stack-up analysis during design
- Defining fastening principles
- Establishing tolerance ranges and offset limits for all sub-assembly components
- Ensuring compliance with defined tolerances in tolerance chains
- Creating and updating gap and flushness plans
- Leading geometric convergence during the design phase
- Identifying the list of control points monitored in production
- Validating inspection equipment studies
- Auditing inspection equipment by leading the geometric convergence of single parts and assembled components (POI/POE)
- Communicating the progress of the assigned scope to the Geometry Lead
- Managing the follow-up of product and process changes in coordination with the project team and Geometry Lead
- Applying tooling commissioning and tuning processes
- Applying validation processes for inspection equipment (repeatability and reproducibility – R&R) to ensure measurement reliability
- Analyzing measurement results, identifying root causes, and defining corrective action plans
- Establishing and implementing geometric convergence processes based on customer indicators
- Contributing to the implementation of the series production control plan
- Ensuring adherence to the project schedule and achieving the required geometric performance at each milestone
- Alerting the project team in case of significant deviations from project targets (escalation process)
- Sharing geometric convergence progress with cross-functional stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
Additional Responsibilities
- Planning technical milestones: contributing to the definition of the schedule for assigned tasks, in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Participating in project meetings:
- Supporting the Project Manager in technical discussions with the customer
- Maintaining a high standard of presentation and communication
- Representing the company and the group
